OLED tablets market is growing

Today, Samsung remains the largest supplier of OLED tablets - despite the fact that the vendor's share fell from 79% to 68% over the past year. In contrast, Lenovo and Huawei strengthened their positions in the same period and increased their shares by 8% and 3%, respectively. Lenovo is expected to further increase its market share of OLED tablets in the coming year thanks to new models.

The massive implementation is expected to begin in 2024, when mass production of OLED panels using Two-Stack Tandem technology will be launched. Improved screens have four times longer life and twice the brightness compared to the existing OLED displays. LG Display may launch mass production of panels using Two-Stack Tandem technology in the first quarter of 2024.

Around the same time, the leader of the Apple tablet market is expected to announce the release of new iPad models equipped with OLED. Counterpoint believes that the company will be able to occupy 21% of the OLED tablets market in the second quarter of 2024, leaving Samsung with only 40% of the share. With the transition of Apple to OLED tablets, its example will be more actively followed by other manufacturers.
